Original speech : So we come to an end of a journey. This morning we saw the last run-through of the show "A piece of us" a big progress from the students throught-out these 3 weeks I have been here.
It has been a pleasure to work with the staff and the students of Zip Zap.
all the students are very talented, that the circus world should be on the look-out for.
Can't wait to see what they'll become in the future.
I put a picture of them in the very end of their last run-through with us and their poster

Original speech :
This morning we went to the dome to do the second part of the show and in the afternoon we were doing the first part of the snow. In between the run-throughts
Mohammed, the leader of zip zap, and I were working on building the club juggling act with Amanda, Zalton, Khanyk, and Liyema. A lot of ideas were thrown onto the table and I think we’re not far from having a juggling act that’ll work. Now they just need to practice it.
In today’s videos you’ll see Tadiwa who’s doing straps and Morgan who are working on the floating Platforme. These two students have mostly been working with the Wisefools. So I’m quite happy to finally have some video material with them to share with you.
You’ll also see Zalton, Khanyk, and Liyema doing their trampoline sequences of the final act in the show.

This morning I woke up pretty early to prepare a class with Coach and Mohammed. Mohammed is by the way a super good base that have worked with 7 fingers and XY. we met quite a long time ago but it has been super nice to teach and be around him.
Our students today would be first timers in circus so we knew it was going to be fun. We prepared a lot of good games with coordination, teamwork, and getting the pulse up.
We did a few acrobatic moments in a line, like front rolls and cartwheel and in the end we finished off with a little game again.
There's a small picture from the lesson attached to this day.

-----------
The juggling convention continues
Ayanda did more than 10 throws which means a qualification in juggling and that means that he can juggle it now.Big improvement and new record for Ayanda ! (See video)Ayanda told me that a correction we did yesterday change everything.
We made his cascade a bit wider to make space.Khanyk continues his 7 ball flash. We corrected a few things and he is only one catch from flashing it. Funny enough he can juggle 7 balls without a problem he just struggles a bit with catching them. (see video)
I asked Khanyk if he had worked a bit on 6 balls. He showed me a few things and we came on with this double bounce (see video)

Speech original :
Creation in the dome + Zip Zap class at the academy.
In morning we took a walk from zip zap academy to the dome. On arrival the students were about to prepare for the run-through of the show. I jumped into sport “a banquine trick” done from an acrobatic plank. Liyema did a succuesfull twist back to the Plank. ( see video ) The warm-up continued with a few ajustments and we were ready for the first full run-thought of the show. The show went good and we gave the students feedback and then we were off for lunch.
In the afternoon the wise fools, Mohammed, and I were doing a porter/hand to hand workshop We had a lot of students so there was a lot of possibilities. We Manege to do two phases ( see video ). It was also the last class of the year so it was really nice to be able to participate to see who the students were.
After the weekend the we'll contiune the creation of the Dare to Dream team.

Today was a big cleaning day at the dome to prepare the space for tomorrow's run-through. It's going to be the first full run of the show. How exciting!

My morning coffee got cut short when the Zip Zap bus arrived to the Academy with honking horns. It was here to take me, the other volunteers and the students to the Dome. The Dare to Dream students are currently working there to create a group show that will premiere in four weeks.
The students were warming up independently and after that they started to work on their acts. I was helping a juggling duo, Ayanda and Zalton, with their passing routines. I was also teaching Khonyk who was working on his bouncing ball act. In the end I ended up passing 10 bounching balls with him, even though I've never touched bouncing balls in my life! Social circus really is an exchange of skills both ways. He made me look very good!
5 minunes after our juggling session Khonyk was on the trampoline and did a triple front flip with a half turn. What a multitalent. These youngstrs are certainly not lacking courage. As a mentor my job was mostly to give them advise on a mental level and hold them back from going too fast too far. Looking forward to seeing what the coming weeks bring and how the show will become!
